Las Vegas 3 Night Package Deals
Planning a vacation to Las Vegas can be overwhelming, so we compiled the top 5 best things to do in Las Vegas based on our own experience and the reviews of thousands of visitors. These are the top 5 “must see” and “must do” experiences while in Las Vegas. Here they are.
1. The Las Vegas Strip
The 4.2 miles stretch of Las Vegas Boulevard known as the Las Vegas Strip is the heart of the city. This is where everything you see in movies takes place, from casinos, to Cirque du Soleil, to the famous Las Vegas sign. There is plenty to do during the day and night on the strip, including rides, restaurants, shopping, and famous hotels including the Bellagio, the Venetian, and Caesar’s Palace. Take a walk along the strip to discover Las Vegas, and stop into some of the beautiful hotels and other spots along the way.
2. Bellagio Fountains
The fountains at the Bellagio are our #2 choice for best things to do in Vegas. Every 30 minutes during the day and 15 minutes at night, the Bellagio fountains display a stunning spectacle of water and light that dance and sway to music. This choreographed water show will transport you to famous scenes from movies including Ocean’s 11. You can enjoy the view from the sidewalk, or book a reservation at one of the restaurants overlooking the fountains.
3. Red Rock Canyon Conservation Area
In addition to casinos and neon lights, Las Vegas boasts a beautiful nature conservation area known for red hills, overlooks, seasonal waterfalls, and hiking and biking trails. Red Rock Canyon is 16 miles southwest of the Las Vegas city center, and you have several options for enjoying your visit. Rent a car and drive along the 13 mile scenic route, or plan a hike to stretch out and enjoy the views on foot. There are also several guided tours that allow you to take a day trip to Red Rock Canyon without renting a vehicle. Visitors agree that including this as part of your itinerary is well worth it for a 3 night trip to Vegas.
4. High Roller Observation Wheel
The High Roller is the world’s tallest Ferris wheel. At 550 feet tall, it is 9 feet taller than the second largest observation wheel in the world, which is in Singapore. Each cabin on the High Roller is a spacious 28 person car encased by Italian glass, and the happy hour cabin even includes an open bar. This is a family-friendly ride, and whether you go at night or during the day, you will experience incredible views of Las Vegas including the casinos along the strip.
Because the wheel is so large, it takes 30 minutes to complete one rotation around the wheel. Take in the views and the opportunity to experience Las Vegas as a “high roller” outside the casino.
5. The Mob Museum
Last but not least, the Mob Museum is both fascinating and educational. This interactive museum recreates the heyday of the mafia in the 1930s, explaining how a criminal organization gained so much power and the methods that law enforcement used to fight it. With real artifacts from infamous mafia members, a live speakeasy room, and hands on firearm training, there is something for everyone to learn and do at this museum.
